Blind cat handed into RSPCA

This poor little black cat was handed into the RSPCA as his owner had sadly passed away.

We then examined him because of his very obvious eye problem.  He had a large amount of inflammatory tissue growing over the surface of the eyes, which fortunately was not painful, but was affecting his vision (upper photo).

We diagnosed an inflammatory condition of the cornea and began treatment using
anti-inflammatory eye drops and immunosuppressive eye cream.

Just look at the difference after a couple of months of treatment! (Lower photo)

We are very happy to report that although he will likely require lifelong treatment to prevent relapses, he has already found a lovely new home via the RSPCA.
