Wood Street Vet hospital has been looking after animals in the area for longer than anyone can remember. Our family have brought their pets here for more than forty years.
Nurse Consultations
Did you know, that just like at your doctors, you can ask for a nurse consultation? Our Veterinary Nurses run regular nurse clinics at all our branches – which are free of charge*. They can offer advice on caring for your pet and answer any questions you may have.
We offer a wide range of nurse clinics to suit the needs of you and your pet, where we can provide help and support to enable you to enjoy your pet as you should.
Below are some of the clinics our nurses run to help with all aspects of your pet's health and wellbeing:
Nail clipping
Expressing anal glands
Weight clinics
Bandage changes
Administering medications
Diabetic clinics
General check-ups
A lot of clients also use these consults as an opportunity to discuss many issues that they may be concerned about, without the need for a consultation with the Veterinary Surgeon – which are charged for. However, please be aware that the nurse may advise a consultation with a Vet if they feel it is necessary.
Nurse clinics are an ideal way to familiarise your pet with our practice. It will enable your pet to feel relaxed each time they come in and, with the emphasis on preventative health care, we can help your pets live long and happy lives.
*Please note that while these consultations are free of charge, there may be a charge for any services provided – such as nail clipping or bandage changes.
